When Seasons Pass

When seasons pass and stars alight and darkness comes too soon,

Behold the magic of the night, of winter’s pale, blue moon.

And there beneath the chill, a gentle breeze is stirred,

The silence of the balmy coast, between the whispers heard.

Quiet is the shape of things, on this celestial eve,

A million thoughts run through my head until I cannot breathe.

Therein lies the hoax, the paradox is seen,

A thousand lives before me went, were certain to deceive.

Hush, Hush, the voices called to me, as they hurried by,

A moment passed, that seemed to last, and set me then to cry.

Where did the oceans blow, the sea gulls call now spent,

How were the sands upon the shore, a beauty heaven sent.

Ring out the hallowed horns, no one else can hear,

Sounding through the ever mores, that signal now the years.

The shadows creep around the light, that shines now all the more,

The stars do blink, the moon now sinks, and opens up the door.
