Everyone’s Got One

Everyone’s Got One: A story, a voice, a purpose, a choice. Only you can tell your story.

Why then do so many of us shy away from our story? From the truth there? I would say most of us tell a pale shadow of our story. Why? Fear? Ridicule? Condemnation? Being ostracized? Or just simply we want to be liked, loved, and included.

Granted more seem to be telling their story than ever before and lives change from the inside out when you can look around and know you are not alone. But the current running through everyone’s, threading an insidious vine that keeps us bound is us. Our E.G.O.

Ego is like an unwelcome guest inside your brain. It gets in the way by leading the way. Some claim it makes them stronger, wiser, more cunning and shrewd. What if we could cast ego aside and instead lead with our hearts? Like a child.

I wonder then if we might all laugh a great laugh. Discover joy. Find the strange, delicate beauty in the rays of morning, or see the slumbering power of a snow covered mountain peak, marvel at the thrill of life and lost summers streaked through with gold.

It takes courage to tell your story, but the world needs yours. Perhaps it is your story that might rid the poison from our gladness. Perhaps yours is the one to set the world to laughter once more. But, we will never know if you keep it bottled up like some sacred potion only doling out drops.

Look well. You are not alone. The world is waiting. For you.

What’s your story?
